In the latest episode of the Emerging Litigation podcast, Brad Rustin, partner and chair of the Financial Services Regulatory Practice at Nelson Mullins, breaks down financial sanction programs related to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.

“This is the first time you have broad sector sanctions in banking and finance, real estate, and energy,” he said in the interview. “This is one of the most robust sanctions programs we’ve ever seen.”

Rustin explains the role of the U.S. Treasury Department’s Office of Foreign Assets Control, the types of transactions impacted, implications for cyber attacks, and how FinTechs may be used to bypass sanctions.
